Boudoir, Babe!

Boudoir photoshoots have been rising in popularity over the last few years and for good reason! Not only do they make a great gift, but they are also the perfect way to boost confidence and empower the star of the shoot.

Boudoir photographers know how to capture all of the best assets and angles, and paired with professional hair, makeup, and a new outfit, it all equals some of the best (and maybe hottest!) portraits that you'll ever see!

Set it up

The first place to start would be arranging one with a boudoir photographer! Try looking online for local and professional photographers who specialize in boudoir shoots. If it’s going to be a gift for someone else, decide on whether you want it to be a surprise or have them in on it from the start.

If you wanted the full pampering experience, you could also look into booking a professional hair and/or makeup artist the day of the shoot to help you look and feel your absolute best.

Play the Part

Although most boudoir photoshoots consist of a sexier theme - typically paired with lingerie and sultry poses - that doesn’t mean that that is the only way to do it! There are so many different ways to feel empowered and fierce, “sexy” is just one of them. Some other possible boudoir themes could be:

• Celebrating pregnancy or parenthood
  
• A couples shoot with the both of you
  
• A more sensual vibe - think of this more as “sexy light”, where you can still aim for a more adult theme but without going too far.
  
• Highlighting a certain part of the body that you love
  
• A kinkier, more BDSM-styled shoot

Now that you’ve established a theme, you can gather all the necessary tools; a matching outfit, any existing lingerie you may have, some props, etc. Communicate with the photographer as well so they can prepare anything if need be to accommodate your theme - or they may even have some of their own ideas or props to work with!
