1. What is pegging?
Cal Exotics Scandal Pegging Panty Set
Pegging is the term used when a (typically cisgendered and/or heterosexual) woman anally penetrates a (typically cisgendered and/or heterosexual) man with the use of a strap-on. It has become a growing trend, especially for straight couples looking to experiment with role reversal, anal exploration, prostate play, and more!
Since this type of play is often about anal/prostate stimulation for the male partner, pegging toys are usually smaller and angled in a way to reach the prostate once inserted.
2. Are all harnesses the same?

Not at all! There are a wide variety of harnesses that feature different styles, cuts, designs, sizes, materials, fun features, and more! One of the most common types is the o-ring harness because it is more universal to accommodate various dildos and attachments.
Some popular harness cuts and styles include jockstrap, boxer/brief, and thong. Others attach to other parts of the body such as the face or thigh.
3. Which penetrating piece should I choose?

Whichever one your heart (or orifice) desires! If you’re a beginner, some things to pay attention to are the size and material. It can also be helpful to think about if you want to play with something that looks realistic or not.
To help you narrow down all of the options, we have a variety of blogs all about choosing the right dildo for you!
4. Do I *need* to use a harness?
Adam & Eve Eve's Vibrating Strapless Strap-On Pink
Not always! Strapless strap-ons actually don’t require a harness at all as a vulva owner holds the bulbous end inside of them using their kegel muscles. They can then penetrate a partner either vaginally or anally with the longer shaft end.
These can be a bit more complicated to use though as it takes some serious kegel strength to hold inside a toy and penetrate someone else at the same time!
5. What’s the best way to shop for a strap-on?

There are a couple of different options, however, there really isn’t a "best way" as there are pros and cons to each! You could shop for all of the parts (harness, attachments, etc.) individually on their own, or altogether within a strap-on kit.
Pro Tip: Since this is a partnered sexual activity, shop for a strap-on with the partner you plan on using it with!
