Today we begin with anal kits and douches!
Anal Kits
An anal kit typically consists of a set of graduated butt plugs and/or a sampling of a variety of anal toys. Both of these options are great for beginners to consider as they can let you try some different sensations or toys without having to break the bank.
Variety Kits:
A kit that contains a selection of different anal toys can give you everything you may need and/or want for your anal play experience in a more budget-friendly option as well as being ideal for travel thanks to their smaller size and often compact storage.
Plug Kits:

A kit that consists of differently sized butt plugs are often designed with the purpose to work your way up to bigger sizes or “train” the anus to become more comfortable with insertion and fullness. They can get you used to the feeling of having the anal muscles stretched as you graduate to having the bigger plugs inside of you.
Alternatively, for those that like anal variety and want to experiment with different fullness feelings, you can choose from plugs of different sizes to play with each time (one day you may want a lighter stretch than others and vice versa). Many plug kits feature not only differing sized plugs, but also ones with different textures that can allow you to explore anal play with unique sensations as well!
Douches
Firstly, it’s important to note here that we are talking specifically about anal and not vaginal douching as it is not recommended due to the vagina being self-cleaning. That being said, do you have to douche? Absolutely not! The decision to use an anal douche for anal prepping is a personal one and can vary person to person, or even each anal encounter.
The anus shouldn’t actually have any feces in it unless it’s getting ready to come out, however, for many people that choose to douche, the fear of making a mess can be too big of a barrier for them to relax and enjoy themselves; making the decision ultimately about confidence and peace of mind!
Regardless of preferences, you shouldn’t douche too much or get into the habit of douching for every anal play encounter as it strips the body of its bacteria for good digestion and health, and can even damage the delicate lining inside of the anus.
Douches VS Enemas:

Although very similar, the main differences between a douche and an enema are how deep inside of you they can clean. Anal douches typically consist of a shorter nozzle for a shallow cleansing of the rectum whereas enemas offer a longer tube for a deeper clean into the body. They are a personal preference, however, douches tend to be more popular!
Douches 101:
Douches typically come either in bag or bulb form or can even be seen in an entire system that replaces your shower head and hooks up directly to the hose! With the bulb, it is easier to remain in control of the temperature, pressure, and amount of water being used. Due to this as well as its often smaller size, it tends to be the more popular version seen on the market.
The water sits inside the bulb and expels through the nozzle when squeezed. The nozzle is usually firm and tapered to help with easier insertion, comes apart for easy cleaning, and should still be lubed up before insertion.
You don’t have to use all of the water you filled it with and especially not all of it in one go; the process may need to be repeated a few times until the water runs clear. You can use a douche in the shower, above a toilet, etc. just ensure you’re somewhere comfortable and there is a place you can expel the water afterwards.
