#5: Samantha

1. What store do you work at & how long have you been with the company?

I have been with the company for 3 years now, I have been able to work at a few different locations but I am happiest in Guelph.

2. What’s your personal favourite product and why?

My personal favourite product; that is such a difficult question to answer! I would probably have to say the Stag Shop strap-on harness if I am being forced to choose just one item. It is the most comfortable harness I have tried, it has such nice padding and is adjustable to so many sizes. It also comes with three different O rings, which makes swapping toys out more convenient. It really depends on the category though, I have a favourite product in each section of our store.

3. What is your favourite Stag Shop memory?

This is also such a hard question to come up with just one answer, there are so many amazing experiences I have had so far in my career with Stag Shop. The one memory that always warms my heart was a special experience I had with a customer, she came in looking for a new lingerie outfit following an extensive battle with cancer/chemo. She was very shy and was struggling to find something she felt sexy and comfortable in...when she casually mentioned that her husband has always wanted to be submissive to her. I put her in a club dress that we have (D9313), and instantly saw her face light up.

She went from feeling horrible about herself to saying she would have her husband crawling on the floor, kissing her feet, in no time. We both fought tears. Those are the moments that keep me enjoying my job, a large majority of our clientele come to us with (underlying) medical issues and rely on us to find the right products for them.

4. What is one thing that surprised you about working at Stag Shop?

I think that is also the thing that surprised me the most about working at Stag Shop, I came into the job thinking I would have some fun working at an adult novelty store. I realized real quick though that the staff are really trusted with people’s more intimate moments, thoughts, and secrets. People come to us for a wide variety of reasons. I have an educational background in psychology, and I love that I am actually able to use my education in my current position.

5. What is the most interesting OR popular question you get asked about working at a sex toy company? And what's your go-to answer?

There isn't really one specific question or comment I get about working at the Stag Shop that stands out, it is more so the places I get asked. I often go to the grocery store after work, and of course I am wearing my Stag Shop uniform. I honestly get stopped at least once every time by someone either asking me a question about the store, job opportunities, or actually asking for product information. Though I have become desensitized to this, I don't think my partner has quite gotten used to it yet!

1. What store do you work at & how long have you been with the company?

Since Sept 9 2021 at the Mississauga location.

2. What’s your personal favourite product and why?

The Kim Assturbator, so much fun to sell and get the client excited about taking her home, how she has the weight and the most realistic booty to play with regardless of gender and preferences ... For any couple looking to explore together she's always a great addition and not limited to solo pleasure.

3. What is your favourite Stag Shop memory?

So many; from selling the Cow Girl sex machine, or a love doll, from empowering people to explore their more romantic side, dressing people for boudoir shoots in any of our amazing Coquette pieces or collections. But mostly I love watching the growth of our brand and business, especially the individuals on our teams in their roles here at SS and evolving into their new positions. It makes me happy to see this as it means progress for everyone from one end of the Stag family to the next!!!!

4. What is one thing that surprised you about working at Stag Shop?

Not surprising to me but comforting to me to know that we truly are an inclusive team, even me and my cheesy humor has been accepted here... sometimes!

5. What is the most interesting OR popular question you get asked about working at a sex toy company? And what's your go-to answer?

A) What is your biggest dildo you have in stock; and B) are you turned on all day is a close second.

And what's your go-to answer? A) Cockzilla is a fantastic giant penis that is gentle and loving at the same time B) Only when you buy a 2-year term for your eligible items, now that really turns me on!
